Fr Pawel Sobol

I was born in 1986 in south-eastern Poland. After completing my seminary studies in Przemyśl, I was ordained to the priesthood in 2011. I began my ministry serving as an Assistant Priest in the parishes of Besko and Kańczuga in Poland.

In 2015, I came to England to continue my priestly ministry as an Assistant Priest at St Bede’s Parish in Clapham Park, London. From September 2017, I served in the same capacity at St Francis’ Parish in Maidstone.

On 1st September 2020, I joined the parish community of St Simon Stock in Walderslade, where I served as Parish Administrator until April 2024. At that time, I was incardinated into the Archdiocese of Southwark and subsequently appointed Parish Priest of Walderslade, a role in which I continued to serve until 31st August 2025.

From 1st September 2025, I have returned to St Bede’s Parish in Clapham Park, this time as Parish Priest.

I entrust my ministry and our entire parish community to the protection of Our Lady, Mary – Mother of God – and to the intercession of our patron, St Bede the Venerable.
